We are currently recruiting for a self-motivated Transport Planner for our Client a highly regarded business based in Woolpit who are experiencing a period of growth.
Duties of Transport Planner
- Plan resources to meet work demands and minimum key performance indicators.
- Assign and maximise the utilisation of drivers and vehicles daily
- Monitor and manage vehicle movements from point of origin to destination.
- Maintain daily contact with depots and warehouse
- Keep up to date status of the jobs and communicate updates, as necessary to the customer
- Deal / resolve any issues from drivers and customers
Skills required for Transport Planner
- Good standard of education
- An interest within transport/logistics
- Previous experience working in a transport office environment
- Effective communicator at all levels
