The successful applicant will be tasked with researching and securing venues, planning and managing our events calendar, negotiating quotes and agreements with vendors, assisting with event marketing, monitoring timeframes and budgets, networking, and delivering on event brief objectives.

Previous event management experience is essential.


Your creativity, organisational skills, and vision will assist Isabel Hospice in amplifying brand visibility, enhancing supporter and employee relations, and improve our organisation's growth through community events that effectively communicate business strategy and brand personality.


Key responsibilities:


  • Lead the development of Isabel Hospice's annual strategy for employee and supporter engagement events, including retail, fundraising and volunteering
  • Develop, design, event creation and communications for allemployee and volunteer gatherings
  • Manage communications and promotional materials for events
  • Coordinate venue management and layout, caterers, stand designers, contractors, and equipment hire
  • Design and create highprofile external events including popup shops, annual general meetings, lights of love events and volunteer engagement events which are held across the community
  • Produce detailed proposals for events, e.g., timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing, and budgets

Skills and knowledge:


  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Extensive knowledge of managing vendors and partnering with internal business cohorts in supporting operative events
  • Experience leading a diversity of events, from small to large, virtual and face to face
  • Ability to cultivate positive relationships with crossfunctional teams
  • Ability to prioritise workload and act with appropriate urgency
  • Strong attentiontodetail, selfdirected initiative, resourcefulness and drive for innovation
  • Exceptional time, resource management, budgeting and organisational skills
  • Operational project management skills and experience creating work plans, meeting agendas and other collaboration tools
  • Readiness to work outside fixed business hours if necessary (e.g. mornings, evenings, and weekends)
