Senior Gas Compliance Officer

£36,000 - £38,000 PA

Job Role:


The Senior Gas Compliance Officer is responsible for the day to day running of the annual gas servicing / compliancy programme.

The purpose of the role is to develop and maintain a productive programme that supports both the business compliancy ambitionswhilst ensuring the safety of our customers.


Key Responsibilities:


  • The role of senior gas compliance officer is pivotal in ensuring that all information relating to compliance is recorded accurately and reported back to management. It is a role that is well respected by the gas team and management, reflecting the responsibilityexpected of the post holder.
  • To lead the gas compliance team across all housing assets. Be responsible for the delivery of the council's gas services statutory compliance function, ensuring the service and work is fully compliant.
  • Undertake responsible for reporting on smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
  • To manage the council's approach to gas compliance and H&S risk, ensuring that monitoring and reporting systems are followed to capture, monitor, and mitigate against risk.
  • Additionally manage and report on PCAF's under water regulations.
  • Lead on planning scheduling and delivery of the gas servicing programme and repairs in accordance with The Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998 and associated British Standards. Also, on the development and maintenance of the gas servicing complianceschedule for housing and corporate assets.
  • Assist in the development and review gas related compliance policies and procedures in line with legislation and industry best practice. Most importantly the production of regular assurance reports for senior managers.

Requirements:


  • Proven suitable experience and knowledge operating administrative systems, providing accurate reports.
  • Experience in a similar position
