Senior Supervising Social Worker (fostering)

South Wales

up to £39,000 plus £312 working from home payment_

We are currently working with an independent not for profit agency, to recruit a full time 37 hour week Senior Fostering Social Worker, on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an organisation with very high ethical standards, who putchildren first, not profit.

It is a really exciting time to join this agency, as they are transitioning to a charity in 2023. This is a fully remote home working role offering a competitive salary between £37,000 - £39,000 per annum. In addition you will receivea working from home allowance of £312 pa.

In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting, assessing, supervising and supporting Foster Carers to support the agency in maintaining their quality fostering service for looked after children.

The role involves recruitment of foster carers, travelto the homes of the agencies' foster carers as required, leading occasional projects, running and delivering training and support groups, and taking part in an 'out of hours' duty system (approximately 3/4 times a year) paid at a supplement.

In this role youwill covering Monmouthshire, Newport, Cardiff, Caerphilly and RCT. You will have case responsibility of 10-12 fostering households. (full job description can be provided following discussion)

A relevant social work qualification
Registration with Social Care Wales or equivalent (prepared to register with SCW before commencement of role)
Form F assessment experience
Fostering experience

32 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays,
10% employer pension contribution,

45p per mile mileage allowance
