What you will be doing...

  • Reporting to the
-
Crew Systems Manager, this role is responsible for the
-
proactive provision, development, and administration of the system solutions used for managing the complex training needs of operational crew, including Air Crew, Ground Crew, and Engineering Crew. These systems are essential for the forecasting, scheduling, and delivery of all training requirements, thus ensuring highly qualified, very capable, and fully compliant colleagues are prepared for their duties delivering our award-winning VIP customer experience safely and professionally. These systems must be constantly evolved in line with changing business and industry requirements.
What will you do in the role?
-
Ensure the most capable and sustainable systems solutions are in place to support all Crew Training processes and procedures, now and in the future.

  • Ensure constant availability, and smooth daily operation of the Crew Training systems.
  • Maintain excellent relations with the 'User' community of the systems.
  • Maintain Userguides and reference material for all system elements.
  • Monitor and review the overall usability and technical reliability of the systems.
  • Ensure full Disaster Recovery, Failover, and contingency strategies/measures are in place.
  • Remain abreast of the systems development roadmap and new upcoming functions/capability.

Work with IT Support to ensure appropriate user account controls and regulation.

  • Conduct Service Request progress reviews with the Vendor(s).
  • Host review meetings with company and thirdparty support resources.
  • Ensure the Test and Training Environments are kept representative of Live, and fully available.
  • Work with the Operations Training & Standards Manager and Ground Operations Training Managers to deliver relevant system training for users.

Arrange and deliver appropriate testing schedules for patches and new releases.

  • Deliver patches and new releases, with appropriate business communications, change controls, and training.
  • Administer system data.
  • Monitor system integration and answer data queries.
  • Participate in project work to deliver new capabilities.

What are the key skills / experience you'll already have?

  • Previous experience of using or managing a Training Management System is desirable
  • Previous Airline experience would be beneficial, especially in Training areas
  • Organised and logical approach
  • Ability to understand business issues and solve through system solutions
