About the role

As a Customer Account Advisor, you will be responsible for;

  • Recovering debt from existing and former customers whilst delivering excellent customer service, in line with Anchor values.
  • Identifying improvements in how we manage debt.
  • Working closely with the financial inclusion team to support customers.
  • Managing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Following policies and procedures relating to debt recovery.
  • Maintaining excellent knowledge of debt recovery matters.
  • Training and supporting your local teams to provide great service

About You

If you have experience of:


  • Working in a customer focussed environment.
  • Debt recovery processes for rented and homeownership tenures.
  • Handling complex resident issues.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to work on own initiative but also be part of a high performing team

It would be great if you also have:

  • Knowledge of relevant operational procedures in the management customer debt recovery.
  • Clear understanding of critical areas of compliance and external regulatory legislation.
  • Knowledge of the expectations of the of the Regulator of Social Housing
  • Awareness regarding Safeguarding of vulnerable adults and the Mental Capacity Act
