Primary HLTA- Leeds Primary School (LS8)

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Primary HLTA for a full-time/permanent position starting in February 2023.

This school is located in Leeds (LS8) and would be covering and supporting in classes from Year - Year 6.

We are looking for arecent Education Graduate or, an experienced HLTA.

Days and Hours - Mondays - Friday from 8:30am - 3:30pm

You will be required to:

Deliver local and national learning strategies e.g. literacy, numeracy and make effective use of opportunities provided by other learning activities to support the development of students' skills.
Select and prepare resources necessary to lead learning activities, taking account of students' interests and language and cultural backgrounds.
Advise on appropriate deployment and use of specialist aid/resources/equipment.

The ideal applicant will have:

Provide evidence of fulfilling the Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards and or ability and potential to fulfill them within the first 6 months of the role.
Excellent numeracy/literacy skills equivalent to at least NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths
Hold relevant qualifications at A level or equivalent to at least NQF Level
Evidence of specialism in specific curriculum areas or areas of particular learning difficulty
Some experience of working with primary children or in a school
A real passion for education and improving the attainment of pupils
Bags of creativity for stimulating and engaging pupils
