Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a motivated and experienced administrator to join our busy medical education team to provide high quality and comprehensive administrative support for the Specialty School/s (NHS England).


You will work closely with doctors in training, regional colleagues both at Trusts and Health Education England (including Head of Specialty School/s) and Trust consultants to ensure that high quality training and educational needs are met.

This role is varied and interesting with high levels of responsibility. You must be able to use initiative to work without direct supervision. Display excellent communication skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines.


Duties may include but are not limited to:

Main point of contact for the Specialty School - College Tutors, Regional Training Programme Directors (TPDs), Heads of School and trainees including receiving and dealing with confidential and sensitive information.


Arrange meetings and development and circulation of materials such as agenda, programmes, minutes and action trackers to an excellent standard.


Undertake general administrative duties including managing complex databases, spreadsheets and other documents in line with the requirement of the medical education team.

To provide administrative support with panels for recruitment events for Specialty School.

To update and support self-registration for both trainees and educators on the virtual learning platform (Bridge/Panopto).

To provide administrative support for trainee/educator programmes.


Collate and prepare information, documentation and correspondence on behalf of the medical education department (including Specialty School) for a range of medical audiences.
