An exciting and rare opportunity has risen to join and lead our moving and handling team at Newcastle Hospitals NHS Trust.

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative person to join and lead our team of experienced multi-disciplinary staff. The service works alongside and supports staff working across acute and community sites.

  • Interview Date 14/12/2 37 Hours 30 Minutes Per a Week

To provide leadership to the Trust's moving and handlings service, contributing to the reduction of work-related musculoskeletal injury and moving and handling accidents across all staff groups and ensuring the Trust's compliance with statutory legislation.

  • To provide a high standard of clinical assessment and care to noncomplex, complex and highly complex patients within specialty evidencing highlevel problem solving, reasoning skills and independence of judgement in moving and handling
  • To provide an Assessment Service to support staff referred through Occupational Health for workplace assessments and provision of specialist chairs, desking and hardware to meet individual needs
  • The Advanced practitioner will be a highly specialist practitioner and is the clinical lead for the moving and handling Service providing highly specialist knowledge within the Trust to health care professionals.
