The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and professional Estates team as an Estates Caretaker.
Main duties include:
- Carrying out planned maintenance and repair work on College grounds and buildings
- Shift work and some evening work is required, alongside occasional weekends.
- With a 'flexible can do' approach to your work, you will have good communication and interpersonal skills, be an excellent team player as well as have the ability to work under pressure using your own initiative when responding to the Estate department's changing work demands.
- Experience of basic maintenance and general repair work along with manual handling techniques is essential. Industry experience in a relevant trade would be advantageous.
Shifts currently are as follows:
The revised hours are as below on an alternating pattern of 1-week early shift then 1-week late shift.
