We are urgently recruiting for a Waste Operative for our client in the Macclesfield area.

Key Task and Responsibilities:

Ensure routine collection and disposal of waste from around site.
Safe use of forklift, pallet rider, van and other mobile plant
Maintain good housekeeping and safe storage of all wastes
Assist in the segregation, packaging and labelling of wastes
Assist in the removal from site of all waste materials thereby reducing stock build up.
Assist in monitoring of safety of operations and all team members' compliance with operating instructions and requirements
Complete daily vehicle and equipment check sheets as required
Routine liaison with manager or supervisor on operational and safety aspects of work

Additional Responsibilities:

Contribute to the behavioural safety and near miss reporting requirements
Assist in thecompletion of other tasks associated with the contract e.g. housekeeping
Signing of duty of care and hazardous waste consignment notes
Support all other team members in their roles when necessary
