Team Leader - West Bromwich

A successful Food Production Company based in the West Bromwich area is currently looking for an experienced Team Leader to join their team.

Working hours as a Team Leader; _

Monday - Friday

7am start - 7pm finish (finish time will vary each day depending on tasks and order volume)

£11.65 per hour

Your duties as a Team Leader; _
I.T. literate including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook tasks which entail daily reporting including handover to management team, liaising with stakeholders and suppliers, and using our warehouse management system and stock control system.
Ensure daily orders are despatched via our courier sticking to tight collection slots.
Overseeing a team of 30+ operatives in delegating tasks and proactively managing the team and various areas of the operation, to ensure the efficiency of the shift is maintained.
Assisting in varying responsibilities operationally dependent on where the operation requires support for example, stock counting, date labelling stock, picking and/or packing orders.
Liaising with Management and agencies to cover absence and holiday.
To complete managerial tasks in the absence of shift manager.
Capable of operating with mínimal supervision within broad guidelines.
Capable of good interpersonal skills and resilient character.
To manage/supervise warehouse staff attendance and breaks.
Ensuring issues are reported to site management.
Ensure all mechanical handling equipment is operated by suitably trained operators and preuse checks are completed prior to use, and paperwork is completed and filed in a professional and timely manner.
To carry out daily checks in and around the warehouse (battery bay, MHE, racking, fire doors, emergency lighting) and report issues accordingly.
Good level of commitment and motivation.
Counterbalance FLT license highly preferable
