Operations Projects Coordinator
Reports to:
Senior Operations Project Manager
Role Overview:
Based at our Tallington site, the Operations Project Coordinator will help deliver company critical projects, on time and within budget to drive change within the business.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsibility for the planning and execution of defined business improvement projects as requested by the Senior Operations Manager and Operations Director
- Directing, coordinating a project to achieve the goals
- Delivery of project milestones on time and within budget
- Liaising with all areas of the business and stakeholders where necessary to ensure clear communication is given
- Ensuring the effective management and utilisation of resources made available to the project
- Managing the deployment of the project deliverables to ensure the team are making the correct progress to schedule, advising, correcting and recommending adjusting priorities if required
- Monitoring project status and progress, project schedule, costs and reporting project risks and mitigation steps required to deliver the project
- Arranging and conducting effective project reviews and meetings
- Highlighting any project risks as they are identified
Associated Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that a strategic outlook is always taken
- Ensure that the project team are working within the companies' code of business conduct
- Effective stakeholder including customer and supplier management
Experience and Training:
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Business, Finance or Data Science preferable
- Minimum 3 years' experience being responsible for planning, delivery or control of projects.
- IOSH Health & Safety or equivalent qualification would be advantageous
- Project Management training is desirable
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a wider team.
- Experience collaborating & working crossfunctionally across business functions
- Ability to manage/prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Excellent IT skills including MS office Suite, Excel & Projects
- At least two years' experience in an industrial environment
- Experience working on CAPEX projects
