About the role and the team
We are recruiting to fill
Senior Homelessness Prevention Co-ordinator role.
You will be appointed to work within the team delivering prevention work to our clients on a full-time (37.5 hours a week), 1-year fixed term contract.
As Senior Homelessness Prevention Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring all guests referred to the service, are assessed, supported and placed effectively with their Nightstop hosts.
In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment, training and management of volunteers, as well as promoting the service to key stakeholders, and supporting young people directly.
You will proactively work in partnership with multiple agencies including statutory teams, to support the wellbeing and housing needs of our guests, working in accordance with safeguarding, data protection and information sharing protocols.
About you:
You will have excellent communication skills and be committed to the values and ethos of Depaul UK.
- Experience and an understanding of working with people experiencing homelessness, or people in crisis
- Experience of supporting young people with their support needs, working closely with other key professionals.
- Experience of writing, implementing and evaluating client risk assessments
- Experience of supervising or supporting volunteers or staff
