Can you help us ensure repairs, voids and planned maintenance are effectively delivered on time and within budget?

We're looking for a
Repairs Surveyor to join us. We're looking for someone who can deliver high quality repair and maintenance services in line with contract specifications. That can achieve agreed performance standards and targets and contribute towards high levels of resident satisfaction.


What we're looking for:

  • Ideally experience of working in partnership or for Social Housing Provider, with experience of managing works to turn around void properties.
  • A sound knowledge of repairs and maintenance, and schedule of rates.
  • A good understanding of traditional and modern construction practices, best practice, and associated Regulations.
  • The ability to prepare basic construction drawings and draft specifications.
  • Experience of property maintenance work in housing that has included undertaking property inspections, diagnosing common property defects and supervising the work of contractors.
  • Experience of delivering planned maintenance programmes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of materials, trades, construction methods and legal/statutory requirements.
  • Experience of monitoring budgets.
  • An understanding of the Housing, Health & Safety Rating Guidance
  • Experience of managing contracts and contractor performance.
Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence and car are required for mobile working. Please note there will be some evening and occasional weekend working required.

Sutton Housing Partnership was set up in 2006 to manage council housing stock on behalf of Sutton Council. As part of our core business, we provide day-to-day housing management services to Sutton Council tenants and leaseholders.
