Job Type: 45.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00 and alternate Saturday 06:00 - 12:00, Full-time, Permanent

Overview
The Workshop Controller is responsible for the smooth running of the Workshop. Overseeing the Technician team, ensuring key performance indicators are achieved, whilst maintaining positive relationships with our customers.
essential duties and job responsibilities
Manage the workshop operation, ensuring there is a efficient flow of authorised work, and relevant internal / customer documentation is completed in a timely manner
At all times strive to exceed depot key performance indicators
Lead and motivate staff
Build and develop customer relationships through the provision of excellent customer service
Liaise with parts department to ensure planned work is fully catered for
Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to
Ensure appropriate clocking's are made and all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness
Organise workloads and communicate with your team
Monitor and improve technician efficiency
Maximise technician utilisation, via liaison with service reception to ensure correct work loading
Participate in and promote all Scania GB / TruckEast initiatives
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Technical Qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ Qualified Technician) or proven experience repairing & maintaining vehicles
Current driving licence
Autoline 8.35 use
Supervisory or management experience
LGV/HGV licence
Ability to work within a team
Excellent organisation and analytical skills
Ability to work within guidelines and to deadlines
Solution driven approach
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Detail orientated
High level of computer literacy
Ability to work under pressure
Possess excellent accuracy and numeracy skills
Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements
General knowledge of the industry
