Material Planner

Up to £23/hr Ltd Umbrella - Inside IR35

Stockton

12 month initial contract


An opportunity has arisen for a Material Planner for one of the world's leading manufacturers of off-highway machinery and diesel and natural gas engines.


You would complete routine tasks and support suppliers to ensure on time in full schedule deliveries to meet plant operational build targets.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensuring that material is shipped and received on time focusing on supplier delivery performances and production plans
  • Analysing MRP data and coordinating the alignment of part schedules with production build forecasts using various data sources
  • Management of work orders and route cards for operations build schedule
  • Management and optimisation of inventory with the defined constraints
  • Reacting to process failures and supplier problems
  • Support improvement plans focusing on safety, quality, velocity, and cost
  • Working with suppliers to identify, correct and eliminate poor performance
  • Preparing and presenting data relating to supplier performance

Skills, experience & qualifications:


  • Good analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Experience in Supply Chain and/or Logistics/Logistics Planning
  • Material Planning background would be desirable
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
  • MRP system knowledge (desirable)
  • Strong communicator
