Contract Type:
Temp to Perm


Working Hours:
Full-time 8:30am to 3:30pm

About the school
An 'outstanding' school located in Liverpool, L8.

The leadership team has maintained the outstanding quality of education over the last 15 years.

The teachers are effective in enabling pupils, both the most able and those who are disadvantaged so that they make rapid progress.

They also work intensively with younger pupils who have recently joined to enable them to start learning at a higher level.


They develop a range of inclusive activities for all pupils, which includes developing relationships with pupils from other schools and people in the local community.


Main Responsibilities

  • Support and Assistance
  • Support and assist both the SEN teacher and the students with special educational needs, working under the guidance and direction of the teacher.


  • OnetoOne Support

  • Work closely with individual students during classroom activities, while reinforcing instructions given by the teacher.


  • Inclusion and Differentiation

  • Differentiate the learning materials and methods to meet the specific needs of each student.


  • Behaviour Management

  • Assist with behaviour management strategies, helping students with special needs to remain on task and not become distracted.


  • Communicate


  • Communicate
with parents/guardians, providing updates on progress, and ensuring consistency between home and school environments.


Requirements:


  • Must have a level 3 teaching assistant qualification.
  • Must have previous experience of working with SEND children with autism, ADHD & PMLD.
  • Have a good understanding of the different types of special educational needs.
  • Be adaptable and flexible.
  • Be knowledgeable of safeguarding procedures.
