An outstanding primary in London are looking to appoint an exceptional graduate with a fantastic academic background as a Teaching Assistant.

In addition, the school would like any graduate Teaching Assistant to have some experience of working with pupilsin a group setting.

This could be voluntary, or any private work you may have undertaken outside the classroom. It is preferable that this is experience of working with primary aged pupils but it is not essential.

The school look for people with the rightpersonality that is both outgoing and able to command respect from all pupils.


In this Teaching Assistant post you will be assigned to a class in any key stage, when it becomes apparent which class would suit your skills best.

Your will have to follow instruction from your class teacher but principally you will be under the directionof an inspirational Special Educational Needs Coordinator.

The teacher will rely on you to support groups of around 4-6 pupils in intervention classes outside of the classroom.


As you provide support to where it is needed most you will start to develop your own teaching talents and build your knowledge base for your future career.

In this role you will be afforded the opportunity to lead classes which will help to develop yourfuture teaching acumen, essential to any career in education.

For graduate Teaching Assistants who display enough natural teaching ability there will be spaces made available on next years School Direct scheme.
