Description

The post holder will work closely with the other Band 3 administrator and Business Support Supervisor to ensure the administration functions within the Podiatry department are delivered.

This will require efficient administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.


Applicants should evidence an ability to remain calm under pressure along with an willingness to undertake and learn new tasks.

A range of communication skills, verbal and written, are essential for this role as is the ability to manage your own workload and work to deadlines.

Applications should evidence ability to work effectively without supervision.


Main duties include but not limited to:

  • To support the Business Support Supervisor in undertaking appraisals and staff 1:1s, supporting return to work interviews following sickness absences and annual leave.
  • To complete weekly rota's and coordinate the day to day running of administrative duties within the Podiatry Clinics, ensuring adequate cover is available in times of sickness or annual leave.
  • To supervise the Admin team on a daytoday basis within Trust Policies and Procedures.
  • To assist the Business Support Supervisor in developing administration service policies and protocols, implement changes to administrative working practices and procedures to ensure harmonisation of practice as directed by the senior management team.
  • Use judgement to identify and resolve issues within the team and, where necessary, to escalate to the Business Support Supervisor.
  • To regularly review administrative processes and protocols within the team and ensure these are continuously improved to ensure delivery of a highquality service and disseminated to the team in a timely manner.
  • To be responsible for the administration of the departments annual leave and any other absences/overtime/bank shifts etc. that need to be entered onto Allocate. To maintain accurate annual leave records for the department and regularly review processes around this
  • Assuming other such additional duties that may be requested and that are consistent with the grade of the post.
