Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant ideally with housing, infrastructure, or real estate background. The role requires a reliable, confident, and pro-active person, who also understands the importance of confidentiality and discretion.


The Management Accountant will primarily be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to the accounts payable function, accurate postings to the general ledger, completion of bank and balance sheet reconciliation.

My client is a Property Development and Management firm based in London N14, working with local authorities to provide solutions for their social housing needs, under different schemes, with a strong reputation for quality and excellence in their field.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Receiving and scanning invoices into the Sage line 50 system
  • Ensuring invoices are authorized for payment
  • Processing payment runs
  • Responsibility for the preparation and control of inter company, related party and third party reconciliations.
  • Cost analysis and variance reporting.
  • Assisting with the month end duties such as Accruals & Prepayments.
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations and payment instructions
  • Preparation and input of journal entries for approval by Group Accountants
  • Assisting Group Accountants with quarter end procedures.
  • Assisting Chief Accountant with further accounting tasks when required
  • Ensuring that accounting controls are adhered to at all times
  • Required skills
  • Two years minimum experience
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good systems skills, including Excel and Word and general ledger accounting system
  • Sage Line 50 desirable.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with accounting concepts, including doubleentry book keeping
  • Strong team and work ethic
