Description
As head of Regulatory Policy for the Investment Bank you will be:

  • Tracking new regulatory policy developments and formulate the Group's interpretations, providing detailed practical guidance, distributed to a wide range of stakeholders;
  • Produce and review the regulatory interpretations of complex transactions and new products as second line of defence to ensure compliance with Group and local regulatory policies meeting;
  • Provide technical support and guidance to functions, businesses and legal entities;
  • Provide technical support on the implementation of new regulatory requirements;
  • Provide liaison with local regulators and support in respect of regulatory requests:
  • Facilitate the Group's response to future regulatory developments, specifically the implementation of the final Basel III reforms, and influence the external development of regulatory policy by writing public responses to new standards, proposed rules,and discussion papers;

Profile

  • Have a good understanding of the regulatory treatment of a broad range of products, particularly those related to Global Banking and Markets;
  • Have a strong understanding of the rules related to the calculation of regulatory capital, RWA and leverage particularly with respect of Counterparty Credit & Market Risk (Basel, PRA, EU or another major regulatory regime);
  • Be experienced in dealing with a major regulator;
  • Have a strong track record in building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
