Finance Manager job for an owner managed company in Twickenham paying £70,000-£80,000


Your new company
You'll be working for an industry leading bespoke construction company based in Twickenham but with a worldwide presence.


Your new role
You'll be working as a Financial Accountant primarily focussed on Group and Revenue Accounting. Your duties will include;

  • Take ownership of revenues and cost of sales, ensuring appropriate recognition of revenues and accurate recording of costs for all jobs in the ERP system.
  • Manage job profitability reporting, including processing job adjustments and analysing project costs e.g. reviewing freight or subcontractor costs. Challenge commerciality and accuracy of job financial details and liaise accordingly with operational colleagues,
  • Manage closed job profitability reporting and analysis.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and quarterly and annual financial statements for revenues and cost of sales, monitoring performance against budgets and forecasts and reporting and explaining variances.
  • Assist with the development and production of revenue forecasts, liaising with appropriate departments to ensure all relevant information is recorded in the ERP system accurately and updated on a timely basis
  • Assist with the maintenance, review, development and documentation of internal controls, processes and procedures relating to the revenue and costs of sales, coordinating internal audits and ensuring compliance with a SOX environment.
  • Manage, mentor and develop junior colleagues, promoting best practice across all areas of management accounting.
  • Review month end reporting to improve quality and timing.
  • Maintain external reporting compliance and be proactive to recommend process improvements to ensure robust financial reporting
  • Develop and maintain KPIs to provide management with leading indicators.
  • Assist with preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist with adhoc financial planning and analysis and special projects, as required.
  • Manage year end audit preparation for all areas of responsibility, including liaison with tax and audit firms.
  • Ensure financial systems are maintained and developed to meet reporting demands

What you'll need to succeed


You'll need to be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with advanced Excel skills, good analytical skills and a proven track record of being able to interpret financial data.


What you'll get in return
You'll be paid a salary of £70,000-£80,000. You'll work a 37.5 hour week with hybrid and flexible working patterns available. You'll be working for an industry leading company within a bespoke industry with a global footprint.
