With a direct reporting line to the Managing Director and the Board of Directors, the Financial Controller is a people-centric role that will be primarily responsible for the deliverance of sound and timely financial management in terms of monthly and annualfinancial reporting and submissions, budgeting, forecasting and business plan preparation, analysis, audit and compliance, the management and further development of internal control policies and procedures, cost control and implementation of positive improvements,all of which must be conducted in an empathetic, collaborative, pragmatic and open way in context with the goals of the business.


It is likely the individual is a qualified accountant with significant experience and is already working in the automotive industry.


This role is very much seen as a key support to the Board of Directors but also the wider teams.


Above all, this person must be an active ambassador for The Platinum Motor Group and be passionate about the work we do, both with our customers and our own Team Members, who are at the heart of our success.

  • An interest and empathy with the "bigger picture" activities and needs of the business
  • IT literacy and a working knowledge of accounting packages.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Be FCA Approved
  • Possess an understanding of industry specific and legal compliance
