Description

Metalis are working with a well established company who manufacture components for various industries such as
Aerospace, Automotive & Rail. I'm currently recruiting for a
Maintenance Engineer to join the team on on a permanent and full-time basis.

The Role

Immediately responding to
breakdowns, carrying out
fault diagnosis, and carrying out
repairs in a safe and timely manner.

Installing new machinery

Carrying out Planned Preventative
Maintenance:
Providing technical support within the team
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Engineer provides a key role within the business.
Demonstrate sound general knowledge of, and comply with, the Health and Safety at Work Act and other legislation
Demonstrate extensive experience in using own initiative to identify
mechanical faults and carry out
repairs:
Demonstrate a strong general knowledge of
Heavy industrialmachinery
Be comfortable working at height using either access equipment or climbing ladders to fixed working platforms
Be proficient in operating
machinery:
Be proficient in
fabrication and
welding (basic installation and repairs)
Be proficient in carrying out fault finding and repairs on
Pneumatic and
Hydraulic systems
Be proficient in
pipefitting, both
installation and
repairwork:
Be capable of reading pneumatic, hydraulic and **engineering drawings
