The Company

Able Bridge Recruitment are thrilled to be working with one of the UK's most prestigious public practices in the recruitment of a payroll specialist.

This newly created role has been the result of our clients exceptional reputation internally and a significant number of payrolls are being transferred to the Scottish region.

The role reports into the head of outsourcing and will form part of a team of payroll account managers. You will be responsible for approximately 60 payroll clients, however this number could increase.


The Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to provide outstanding customer services to a number (approximately 60), clients and deliver their outsourced payroll.

You will also be responsible, along with your colleagues in the identification of departmental improvements to processes and procedures. You will also act as a support to colleagues during peak periods and holiday absences.


On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;
Be accountable for a number of payroll clients and build rapport/relationships with key stakeholders.

Responsible for the process of payroll information and ensure that tax calculations, student loan payments and other statutory obligations are processed.

Ensure that end to end payrolls are delivered for your clients within agreed timeframes.
Work with your clients and their employees to resolve payroll queries as and when the arise.
Process statutory documents such as P60's, P45's, P11d's etc.
Review payroll processes internally to drive efficiencies.
Be part of a team where you can support and be supported during times of peak workload.


The Requirements

We are looking for an experienced payroll professional who is experienced of working on multiple payrolls at the same time.

You will be accountable for building the relationship with your clients so an outgoing personality and a desire to deliver exceptional customer service is paramount.

You will be working within a team of payroll professions, however your portfolio will be managed by you.

As such we are seeking an individual who has the payroll experience (at least 5 years) of running multiple payrolls and who understands and has completed manual tax calculations.

Our client is flexible on hybrid working and would also consider an applicant who wants to work part time.

Our client will be expecting the successful applicant to be based in the office on a blended working model, the model that they are working to is flexible and would accommodate some form of hybrid working model, however you will be office based some of the week.
