Description
Our client who is based within the higher education sector, have a temporary role for a receptionist. This role is based in Glasgow West end and attracts a pay rate of £11.01 per hour. This role is an immediate start. The working week will be Monday toFriday 9am - 5pm and is for 12 months.Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide students with guidance on general programme or courserelated queries, including those related to My Campus records and timetabling
- Organize parking and taxis for staff and visitors as required
- Maintain systems for managing space access, including keypads, card access and keys, inventory, and logs for shortterm use of audiovisual and IT equipment
- Support mail, postal and delivery services
- Administer tutorial attendance packs or materials, liaising with relevant staff and tutors
- Assist with preparations for and organizing student events, including induction and extracurricular events ion and Moodle courses.
- Assist with timetabling and room booking activities, including the booking of meeting rooms
- Assist with room maintenance, including logging support calls
- Maintain the staff contact directory
- Maintain leaflet stands and noticeboards
- Maintain water cooler supply, including reporting faults and ordering relevant items
- Liaise with Programmes Assistants to maintain supplies of stationery and paper
- Arrange regular recycling and confidential waste uplifts
- Report printer faults and arrange for the disposal of printer cartridges
Key Skills:
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, featuring the ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
- Good verbal and English language writing skills.
- Strong workload management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Desirable: Knowledge of University IT systems, e.g. My Campus, Moodle.
