Midlothian AMH Psychological Therapies Service
Please note:
As this post is part-time the salary will be pro-rata.
You will have a varied individual clinical caseload across the spectrum of psychological and mental health difficulties and be supported via individual and group supervision by the Senior Psychologists in each service.
As the service expands, there is an ongoing need to support work to maintain low wait times, and you will have a key role in this.
However, in this context there is also an increased opportunity for training and development with a whole service cpd plan, as well as involvement in service developments driven by strategic change.
These include the growth of the group programme and development of treatment pathways for a population with complex needs.
In order to support a young and developing service, management are committed to investing in relevant training and career development opportunities.
We are also keen to promote the development of areas of special interest and team champions in a number of areas.
This role forms part of a wider service development to support the expansion of the team and whilst embedded in the Midlothian team, you will have support links with other clinicians across the wider AMH services.
There is also a wide range of mental health services within the Midlothian HSCP with which the Psychological Therapies Service have strong links.
The department is supported by Royal Edinburgh Associated Services (REAS), and there are reporting lines to the Services Director of Royal Edinburgh Associated Services (REAS), however all posts are managed within Psychological Therapies.
This is led by the Director of Psychology with a team of senior staff who are committed to supporting and developing staff alongside quality improvement and other programmes that enhance the quality of care provided.
The main base for this post is in Dalkeith, Midlothian.However Psychological Therapies Teams are currently supporting hybrid working for both clinical and administrative work so flexibility of working location can be discussed at interview.
