About our opportunity:

As an award-winning organisation which forms part of the EMR Group, we are thrilled to be offering this opportunity to join us at our state of the art Polymer Recycling facility in Worksop.

Completing lab work as necessary, but also affect product release and certificate creation for customers. Deal with any adhoc laboratory testing requests.

What you will be doing:

Analysis of incoming raw materials
Collection and analysis of process samples
Sample preparation
Rheological and physical testing of materials
Performing periodic checks on equipment/machinery within the Lab
Participation in the Lab 5S programme
Compilation of Laboratory reports when required
Training of new technicians in all required areas
Release product as free for sale
Issue COA or COC as requested
Release 3rd party material when passing
Compile daily RFT report
Laboratory calibration schedule supervision
Department lockdown auditing
Supervision of sample collection for external testing and internal XRF analysis
Manage Laboratory consumables stock and ordering
Laboratory methods and SOP amendments and creation
ISO standards version management
Specification assessment relating to trends in performance
Complete waste water analysis for trace metals in line with site discharge consent
Be able to cover laboratory rota for short periods of time as needed
Operating machinery and equipment, only when trained
To provide resource to other departments in terms of material testing
Conducting appropriate checks on machinery/equipment, reporting any errors/issues immediately to you supervisor
Clean down of equipment after use
Any operations involving chemicals, to be performed only when trained to do so
Observe correct use of PPE
To follow instruction from your supervisor in a timely and cooperate manner
To report all near misses, accidents and faulty equipment/machinery to your shift supervisor, Manager or Health & Safety Manager immediately
To challenge others departments as appropriate
Support with HR investigations as required

GCSE or equivalent in maths to grade 3 or above a preference
Basic excel skills required
Proven in a physical testing laboratory
