We are looking for a committed
Finance Partner who is interested in developing their career within a Finance Business Partnering role supporting a key area of National Grid's Strategic Infrastructure business.


You'll work hand in hand with Directors of National Grid's Strategic Infrastructure business, who are responsible for delivering the biggest upgrade the National Grid has seen in decades.

These projects will together enable 50 Gigawatts of offshore wind to deliver substantial decarbonisation of our energy system.

This is a new business unit which presents an exciting opportunity to build innovative solutions and create new ways of working.


You'll collaborate with the team to ensure business leaders understand their financial performance in the context regulatory framework and the commitments we have made to our shareholders, ensuring the business's plans are ambitious and deliverable.

You'll support with finding opportunities to embed efficiencies that drive value for shareholders and consumers and provide insight and challenge where we see risks to performance.

Critical to success will be a high-quality forecast that finds innovative ways to report and manage material uncertainty and risk across a complex portfolio of over £20 billion of capital investment with tight delivery schedules.


About You:


Let's talk about you You're a qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with progressive finance experience, ideally from a sizeable, corporate or matrix organisation.

You have relevant experience of reporting financial information, planning, forecasting, budgeting, financial modelling and have excellent analytical and MS Excel skills.

You can talk to both finance and non-finance people and can articulate and pitch financial information. You have strong stakeholder management skills; you build strong working relationships and have had some exposure to business partnering.

You're a self-starter with a curious mindset, you like to get to the root of a situation and look for options to resolve.

You're all about the detail but also like to understand where it fits in the bigger picture.


What You'll Get:

£44,000 - £52,000 per annum - dependent on experience

  • Annual Bonus (based on personal and company performance) and annual salary review.
