New Product Introduction (NPI) Lead
Location:

Up to 50k dependant on skills and experience
What you'll be doing:
- Develop the manufacturing strategy of the product and capture within the manufacturing plan. Maintain this plan as the product maturity develops through Bid, Development, Qualification, and Initial Production
- Work collaboratively with the Engineering functions to review and influence designs to ensure they are suitable to meet Design to Unit Production Cost (DTUPC) targets, by the implementation of high yield, efficient manufacturing processes
- Creation of build schedules, drive materials and resource using MRP and manage the manufacture of prototype assets upon the shopfloor
- Authoring build documentation to instruct build technicians. Capture lessons learned from prototype/initial build and incorporate in the build process/design
- Present weekly project status to the operations management team, and monthly to the project team during Project Performance Review (PPR).
- Manage NPI related: labour expenditure, DTUPC and project schedule
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline
- Experience of working within a Manufacturing or Engineering environment
- Leading Teams
- Application of DFM methodologies during product development
Desirable
- Creation and delivery of manufacturing instructions to build technicians
- Working within a EN9100 compliant environment

The Product Development team:
The Lead NPI Engineer is part of a cross-functional development team, responsible for the execution of development programmes that take our world class technologies and ensure they are packaged into a product that meets the required quality standards, delivered on time and to cost.
They are the Operations interface to the project and expected to assess and influence Engineering's designs using Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles to ensure that manufacturability is kept at the heart of the design.
