Data Engineer

From £ 400 - £ 500 p/d - inside IR35

Hybrid Newcastle/Leeds

6-month contract
We are seeking a Data Engineer for our government client.

The role location is hybrid, based between 2 days a week on-site and the remainder of the week working remotely.

Office locations include Leeds or Newcastle, as preferred.

Security Clearance:
Security Check (SC)

This role is inside IR3- Due to the service of the role, it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Role Profile/Responsibilities:

Help redesign and clean up our current PowerBI workspaces, reports and App
Ensure all the reports follow a standard structure and provide clear and concise information using the correct visuals
Be responsible for developing accurate, efficient data solutions which meet customer needs to agreed timescales
Ensure the stability, robustness and resilience of the products that have be designed and built
Identifying, managing and resolving issues preventing the delivery or continuous development of products
Structure data to meet the reporting requirements using dimensional or relational techniques
Design, Build and Enhance Dashboards and reporting solutions to meet customer requirements
Investigates problems and opportunities in existing processes and contributes to recommending solutions
Use technology where possible to increase efficiency
Encourage ideas for change from a wide range of sources
Clearly explain the reasons for change to colleagues and how to implement them, supporting individuals with different needs to adapt to change
Encourage an environment where colleagues know that they can challenge decisions and issues safely

Essential:

PowerBI knowledge including MQuery and DAX
Knowledge and experience in Data modelling and transformation
Identify simple patterns and trends
Experience in working with others to identify areas for improvement and simplify processes to use fewer resources
SQL experience
Azure experience
