Job Purpose:

To complete the duties detailed below.

Plans machining by studying work orders, materials, specifications, drawings, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.
Programs CNC machine tools by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
Setsup machine tools and work pieces.
Verifies settings by measuring positions, firstrun part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.
Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Documents actions by completing material location plans, metrology reports and routing documentation.

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

Experience of CNC turning and milling components in duplex, super duplex and Inconel materials.
Experience of Mazatrol / Fanuc / Heidenhain controls.
Experience of using vernier callipers, height gauges, CMM.
Mechanical assembly experience.
