Job description:


Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts; as a part of our ongoing success in building and retaining relationships with many schools and academy trusts in the area we are currently looking for a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) in Bishop's Stortford.

The role is full time and starting at the beginnning of March.

It is a temporary positon; the exact duration is not definiate and is on going at the discration of the school.


The position is at a recently opened three-form entry primary school, which strives to not only provide an excellent academic education to all their students and provide a personalised learning approach.

The school sets high expectations for their students in order to encourage every child to reach their full potential.


Role:

  • Strong knowledge of, and commitment to working with children with special educational needs
  • Work effectively with other members of staff throughout the school
  • Have the energy to inspire and motivate students
  • Ability to monitor, assess and report on the progress of the student
  • Willingness to comply with the schools' policies and implement them effectively

Requirements:


  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
  • Have a SENCo qualification/accreditation
  • Have previous experience as a SENCo
  • Have a good level of behaviour management
  • Be enthusiastic and committed to seeing every child succeed
