ITMS's mission is to play a key role in the DMU community by actively engaging to deliver transformational technologies that add recognised value, enabling the implementation of integrated digital solutions in a rapidly developing environment and help peopleto embrace technology within their university life.
DMU has embarked on a new Empowering University strategy and this post has an important role within the University's IT Project Management to support the development of a technology modernisation programmeand the objectives of the Digital Transformation strategy.
Role
As the IT Project Manager you will be pivotal in leading the delivery of new technology products generated by our ITMS team, wider university and partners.
You will work closely with our university colleagues, technical leads, suppliers, digital trainingand delivery teams to ensure they are working effectively in an agile and vibrant environment.
You will possess proven interpersonal and organisational skills, including the ability to be inclusive and build relationships with colleagues at all levels across the organisation and foster strong cross functional team cohesion.
You will be independent, creative and driven to find solutions to succeed and have the ability to understand and overcome delivery and development challenges.
You will be visionary, inspirational, but realistic and have the ability to motivate cross functional teams with excellent communication skills.
A Minimum 4 years relevant work experience in IT project management
General all-round project methodology knowledge and skills
Relevant experience in developing and embedding an Agile approach
A background in Higher Education and/or the SAP ERP area
Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
