We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated
Lecturer in Counselling with current experience of working within the counselling/psychotherapy sector.

In this position, you will play a primary role in supporting the delivery of person-centred counselling and psychotherapy training at postgraduate levels, along with the delivery and further development of the Introduction to Counselling module.

We are looking for someone who is willing to provide a range of innovative approaches to student learning and contribute to the further development and delivery of continuing professional development programmes.

Successful experience of training counsellors and group facilitation/experiential learning, a sound working knowledge of the Person-Centred Approach with some knowledge of other psychotherapeutic modalities, such as psychodynamic/ cognitive behavioural psychotherapy/ IAPT is required for this position.

You will need a sound knowledge of the current national standards and professional body requirements for professional counsellor training and practice.

Holding a supervisor qualification is also desirable.
