Location - Lincolnshire


We are looking for an experienced manager to develop and drive forward a team of field-based Meter Technicians.? Meter Technician's undertake routine meter readings across a specific part of our region for some of our 6 million customers.

Reporting to the Meter Reading manager, you'll be responsible for maximising the teams' performance through active supervision and coaching whilst always ensuring the highest safety standards are achieved.


You'll need to ensure your team delivers excellent customer service and be able to deliver operational requirements within a busy and target driven environment.

As the team is field based, you'll need to ensure they feel part of the team and effectivelycommunicate and manage them in this type of environment.

You'll need to be adverse in analysing and manipulating data to drive performance and be able to build an improvement culture that will continue to evolve our processes and delivery.


What does it take to be a Meter Technician Manager?
Previous experience of managing and working in a high volume, fast paced and performance driven operational environment is important


As well as:

  • Experience in a customer facing role and delivering a firstclass customer service
  • Previous experience of budget management
  • Ability to use key data to drive improvements and performance manage employees
  • Ability to succeed in a target driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Sound planning and organisational skills
  • Flexibility to travel across the region
