GOLF OPERATIONS ASSISTANT:


We have a number of great opportunities for seasonal Golf Services Assistants to join our Golf team ahead of our busy Summer period.

THE ROLE - Seasonal Golf Operations Assistant (FIXED TERM APRIL - OCTOBER):

Opened in June 2007, the 18-hole Carrick golf course has already played host to some prestigious professional events, including the Ladies Scottish Open, the PGA Cup and more recently the Europro Tour.

Since opening, course has welcomed over 300,000 players onto its pristine fairways overlooking Loch Lomond, and has won many awards securing its reputation as one of Scotland's leading golf courses.


Under the guidance of the Golf Operations Manager, the role will consist of working in our golf concierge team, attending to members guests needs as well as assisting the golf mananger with golf outings and on course duties such as 1st tee starter, half way house, foh welcome, rangering the course and driving range duties.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to work in the golf industry at a 5 star resort.


Key things you will be responsible for:
Providing a warm welcome and proactive interactions with guests and members
Set up and ball collection from the driving range
1st tee delivery
Hiring out buggies and rental equipment
Cleaning and presentation of the golf shop, locker rooms, equipment and all golf operational areas
Refreshment service at the halfway house
Par 3 challenges
Relaying messages via radio communication
Opening and closing procedures and sign off
Setup and support of corporate golf events and society days
General assistance and support to the golf operational and sales and membership teams

TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY YOU WILL ALSO NEED:

  • National 5 qualifications in English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience within a similar role or any customer service experience an advantage
  • General understanding of the game of golf
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic IT skills with ability to use hand held technology
  • UK Driving Licence
