RMS are recruiting on behalf of a market leading fabrication company who are looking for Trade Assistants to join the busy team.

This role is back shift 3:30pm - 1:30am Monday to Thursday


Main Responsibilities

  • Dressing welds
  • Using abrasive wheels
  • Removing weld spatter
  • Removing sharp edges
  • Flushing of welds
  • Cleaning of weld preps
  • Reading & Understanding procedures relevant to task;
  • Ensuring correct set up
- ie pre heat of torches, calibration and set up of set prior to commencement;

  • Cleaning weld area once complete ready for acceptance by NDT;
  • Maintaining housekeeping of work area;
  • Guiding overhead cranes and hoists where trained for moving and assembling plates;
  • Responsible for cable management, general good housekeeping in working area;
  • Working in line with strict adherence to Quality/Health & Safety Procedures

Pay Rate and Working Hours:

37.5 hours per week

£14.80 an hour

£20.18 per hour Overtime 1 (Monday

  • Sat am)
£26.91 per hour Overtime 2 (Sat post 1st 4 hrs & Sunday)


Salary:
£14.80 per hour
