We have an exciting opportunity as a Repairs Planner within our Housing Repairs Service.

The Service is responsible for providing our tenants with safe, warm, modernised, secure housing that meets the Scottish Housing Quality Standard.

We have over 7800 homes across Perth and Kinross Council and carry out over 25,000 repairs a year.

We are committed to providing an excellent repairs service to our tenants and ensuring void properties meet our lettable standard for new tenants.

Our in-house trade team of 63 staff includes joiners, electricians, plumbers, painters, masons, fencers and labourers. We use a scheduling and mobile working system to plan and monitor each repair and void property.

We are looking for an energetic and driven individual for the role of Repairs Planner.

You will be part of a small team of 4 Planners responsible for the delivery of effective scheduling for void, planned and responsive repair requests.

You will report to the Team Leader managing all complex and void repair scheduling, liaising with contractors and Locality Teams.

You'll need to demonstrate a real commitment to being target driven, proactive and having the flexibility to respond to competing priorities.


The Individual:


We are looking for a driven individual who has experience in a scheduling capacity, someone who can work well as part of a team and be flexible in their approach to work.


You will work with the Trade Co-ordinator to ensure the maximum productivity of available trade resources and alternative contractors through accurate forward planning and dynamic scheduling.


Good communication, logístical and prioritisation skills are key to this role, along with being highly motivated and a team player.


Ideally you will have knowledge of Perth and Kinross Council's services and it would be beneficial that you have knowledge and experience of a variety of computer systems, including Northgate, Total Mobile (Connect) and Microsoft packages.

These skills are not essential as full training will be provided so you must be willing to learn and take on new information quickly.
