We are looking to expand our team with inspirational Associate Lecturers (ALs) who have a passion for delivering high quality learning experiences along with substantial experience gained through teaching, relevant industry experience or both.

You will join our Department of Art and Design and will contribute to our mission to transform the lives of our students.


You may be currently working in a relevant industry and/or have spent time working in a relevant industry and may be interested in combining this with your enthusiasm and ability to pass on your knowledge and experience by creating and delivering high quality learning, teaching, and assessment.

We are looking for people who can teach in the following areas:

  • Fashion Design, Management & Communication
  • Fine Art
  • Product Design
  • Interior Architecture and Design
  • Packaging Design and Technology
  • Visual Communication


You may be asked to teach modules to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, usually within a studio environment and through lectures, tutorials or workshop format.

You may be require to undertake assessment and will also contribute to the design of some learning activities and assessments.

Becoming an AL can be an excellent introduction to teaching in higher education.

Some teaching experience would be an advantage; however, you may have well developed and current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues from both an academic and/or professional perspective.


The role of the Associate Lecturer is not a full-time job so please contact us for more information on the hours available.
