£24,000 - £30,000 per annum dependent on experience
As a Radiology Departmental Assistant you will work within the Ultrasound department dealing with clinical and administrative jobs for the department.
Duties & Responsibilities**- Meet and greet all visitors to the Ultrasound department to include patients and Consultant Users.
- Chaperone Ultrasound scans and assist consultants with reports, patient monitoring etc.
- Register Patients using the Hospital Information system (Meditech).
- General Administration of the Ultrasound department
- Arrange bookings for US
- Sending out reports
- Maintain Ultrasound stock control in the Radiology Office
- Taking bloods
- Ensuring patient comfort, dignity and privacy are maintained at all times and are specific to the patients' needs.
- Assisting the Ultrasound manager with administrative tasks
- To assist the Ultrasound staff and Consultant's in the department as required.
- Ensure that the equipment is maintained in good working order and report faults where necessary.
Skills and experience
- Previous Hospital Healthcare experience desirable
- Radiology Department experience is desirable
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Exceptional communication and organisation skills.
- Ability to be flexible with working patterns
- Competent IT user to include Word and Excel
