What we're looking for:


  • Relevant and uptodate knowledge of the Ofsted EIF.

(Essential):


  • Experience of acting as an Ofsted Nominee/ lead and communicating with inspectors.

(Essential):


  • Experience of preparing colleagues for an Ofsted inspection and leading the inspection.

(Essential):


  • Knowledge and understanding of quality improvement and assurance as an IV and quality lead within educational organisations.

(Essential):


  • Experience of leading and managing an observation process to improve the quality of TLA delivery.

(Essential):


  • An understanding of Apprenticeships and associated quality frameworks, such as progress reviews, to ensure the maximisation of timely assessment & verification.

  • Awareness of qualification frameworks and requirements of IV processes.

If you do, this role is perfect for you Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Quality & Academic Standards Lead on a Permanent basis at our Westminster Bridge Road in South East London.


A bit about the role:

As a Quality & Academic Standards Lead, some of the key results for the role include:

  • To ensure the rigorous implementation of designated quality assurance procedures and associated quality improvement plans according to Academy standards and in line with Ofsted and awarding body requirements and deadlines.
  • To coordinate, manage and oversee the quality assurance cycle across the Academy and support the development of excellence in quality improvement for teaching, learning and assessment across the organisation and with agreed partners.
  • To analyse the appropriate data and information to identify themes and actions to ensure appropriate and timely impact of improvement in QA and innovation.
  • To lead the quality assurance and audit process to improve and exceed standards.
  • To act as nominated Quality Lead for Ofsted and awarding bodies and monitor, review and improve the standards in assessment, standardisation and verification across the Academy.
  • To manage a team of colleagues allocated to improve and innovate teaching, learning and assessment practices, and the learner experience according to Peabody processes and procedures (induction, settling in period, connected conversations, performance) and address underperformance where necessary.
  • To conduct, support and provide observations and feedback to skills trainers, learning coaches and others directly involved in delivering learning and assessment to ensure those directly involved in teaching and assessment are consistently delivering to current professional standards and meet awarding body standards via audit and observation.
  • Commission learner feedback to gain insight into how learners view the quality of their learning experience and use results, analysis, and other data, measure impact and to propose initiatives that would lead to improvement in learner engagement.
  • Work with the key stakeholders to provide support and guidance on all learner engagement matters and to champion and support diversity and health and wellbeing activities and support the internal communication of these.
  • Have oversight of all exam practices, qualifications, external and internal moderation, verification and assessment policies and ensure procedures are maintained and compliant
  • For the data under your ownership, ensure it is collected, managed and protected to the highest standards, meeting all legal & regulatory requirements, with data quality embedded and responsibilities clearly defined and communicated.
  • Attend and represent the Academy internally and externally at sector specific groups such as networking forums, local and regional focus groups to raise the profile and represent the interests of the Academy, maintain sector knowledge and professional awareness of developments surrounding the quality of education.
  • Contribute to the promotion and effective implementation of Peabody's Policies including Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, Prevent, etc.

_This role will require a Enhanced DBS check and a minimum of 2 days working in the office. _
