Job Purpose:
As CMF Designer, you will support the Design Manager of Advanced CMF and the rest of the Design Team by researching macro + micro design trends, explore cutting-edge technologies and translate these findings into pioneering CMF solutions, that will enrich our future range of high-performance cars and embody the true spirit of ultra-luxury.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Passionate, positive and creative CMF Designer. An ambassador for AML design and our CMF philosophy across the design department and beyond.
- A motivated, organised, and highly creative team player with great taste and a great level of understanding of luxury automotive colour and materials design, with excellent creative instincts and the ability to communicate them effectively.
- Proficient level of expertise in the creation of the specific documentation required for material developments (supplier briefs / feedback etc.)
- Delivering inspiring results within a given timeline and to cost targets set by their manager, with a clear understanding of the impacts of design decisions on the project.
- The ability to break down and tailor complex design information to present appropriately, clearly, and concisely to different audiences within the design department
- Understanding and contributing to decisions throughout the product development process, with the support of their manager.
- Cognizant of current & future trends of both luxury and performance within and beyond the automotive industry.
- Collaborate with partners and suppliers to deliver world class materials, with potential for international travel to visit suppliers / inspect samples and production processes if necessary.
- Positive, proactive and respectful team player, contributing to the team spirit and working environment, supporting other team members when required.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor or master's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Transportation Interior Design, Product Design, Industrial Design or similar design related discipline.
- No previous automotive experience required.
- Creative thinking and materials research.
- Great ability to use the Microsoft Office Package, PowerPoint.
- Great ability to use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. VRED or grasshopper would be advantageous
- English language to a professional working level.
