Senior Server Engineer

Bristol (hybrid)

£45,000 - £47,000


An enterprise business in the heart of Bristol is looking for a Senior Server Engineer due to increased project demand across the business.


You will assist with cyber security operations, patching, and upgrading software when required, taking a pragmatic and specialist role in ensuring the safety and security of systems.


Senior Server Engineer key skills:

  • Windows Server operating systems and Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, Windows Failover Clustering, Remote Desktop Services, DFS and WSUS.
- good understanding of ITIL concepts
- modern system administration approaches, such as automation, configuration management, version control, monitoring and alerting.

  • Experience in lifecycle management and operating system upgrades.
  • Powershell scripting

Additionally, the following skills are desirable:

  • Experience with Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience in using VMware.
  • Experience in using Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server
