We are working with an established Chartered Accountancy Practice in Ripon, with an excellent reputation across the local area, and who are seen as experts in their field.

They are looking for a

Part Time

Accounts Preparation & Payroll Assistant to join their friendly, close knit team, and are open to both part and full time hours. You will take responsibility for their client accounts preparation on a monthly basis, and you will also have some ad-hoc involvement in payroll duties, covering for holiday and sickness as required. You will ideally have experience of accounts preparation, and some payroll within a practice environment. Any experience of bookkeeping would be beneficial but not essential.

Part Time

Accounts Preparation & Payroll Assistant your duties will include:

  • Monthly accounts preparation.
  • Completing balance sheets.
  • Completing profit and loss accounts.
  • Financial record submission to HMRC.
  • Completing tax returns for clients.
  • Bookkeeping
  • Completing weekly and monthly payroll on behalf of clients when required.
  • Regular use of Iris, Sage and Quickbooks to input and record accounts data.

Skills required:

  • Practice experience is essential.
  • Iris, Sage & Quickbooks knowledge beneficial but not essential.
  • Payroll experience highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of accounts and tax preparation.
