The Kitchen Porter's main responsibility is to handle various tasks behind the scenes, such as:

  • Understanding and following the company's rules and regulations regarding fire safety, hygiene, health & safety, and licensing.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment by identifying potential hazards and taking necessary action.
  • Familiarizing yourself with fire, bomb, and evacuation procedures for your department.
  • Ensuring that agreedupon standards are met.
  • Consistently surpassing hygiene standards.
  • Assisting the management team with any reasonable tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Financial Focus:


  • Managing cleaning supplies according to company policies to minimize wastage.

Business Development Focus:


  • Adapting to changes in the business as required.

Product Focus:


  • Handling incoming phone calls or inquiries courteously.
  • Providing highly efficient and effective service.
  • Maintaining the agreedupon standards and presentation.

People Focus:


  • Completing essential statutory training.
  • Cultivating a professional working relationship with your team, emphasizing excellent communication.
  • Being punctual and following company procedures for absence or lateness.
  • Attending briefings, meetings, and training sessions as required by the General Manager.
  • Supporting the training of new employees.
