Finance Officer - London (onsite) - 12 months contract - £450 per day inside IR3- DV or SC

Roles and duties:

  • Support the budget manager with finance processes below and as required
  • Work with key stakeholders within the finance teams to create and monitor forecasts
  • Presenting annual budgets to senior stakeholders Support the budget manager with maintenance of forecasting spreadsheets
  • Submit forecasts for quarterly profiling and provide figures for monthly reporting
  • Support the central team to work with IProcurement systems, including raising requisitions chasing outstanding orders, confirming the receipt of orders, confirming the receipt of goods and services resolving invoice queries.
  • Review budget requests for approval
  • Develop and manage cross department relationships to facilitate transfers as necessary, in line with financial, commercial and cover requirements.
  • Support the budget manager with the finance cost model and financial metrics, ensuring the financial model is up to date.
  • Analyse financial information to ensure all operations are within budget, providing financial analysis on any variances between actual, budgeted and forecasted financial results on a periodic basis
  • Monitor year to date actuals, initiating and coordinating required actions to mitigate over/underspend
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of data Prepare monthly accruals and journals to be actioned by the finance team
  • Drafting monthly highlight reports, populating with key management information (financial data, milestone progress, and red risks and issues)
  • Ensuring compliance with reporting standards
  • Presenting reports where necessary to various leadership boards.
  • Work with commercial business partners to ensure supplier performance is captured and reported
  • Liaising with and managing key stakeholders as needed, explaining budgeting and financial information in plain terms where required
