Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Ensuring all trades are accurately input into production systems and all associated risks and P&L are accurate.
- Executing specific types of bank trades
This includes:
buying bonds for collateral, funding trades, internal risk transfer trades, repos for initial margin, reset runs, any interdepartmental swaps, cash trades and the firm's funding trades.
- Running processes on behalf of the rest of Front Office
This includes:
providing MarkitWire support, market commentary, trading models, P&L investigations and ad hoc booking system to model investigations etc.
- Proactively working to take on additional nonexecution related tasks from Marketing and Trading.
- Preparation of adhoc trade and portfolio modelling.
- Utilising the knowledge built up by LNTES to provide technical assistance to projects on behalf of Front Office.
- Acting as the face of Front Office to Middle and Back Office.
- Helping to set up and then run/automate new processes to improve LNTES controls and functionality.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the ability to analyse highly complex financial data and large volumes of information and derive the best possible solution.
- Strong communication skills and adept at establishing professional credibility at all levels with the ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders in order to develop the business.
- Excellent planning, organisation and coordination skills with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Strong levels of business understanding and commercial acumen.
- Confidence to work independently and show initiative.
- A degree of flexibility is expected in working the hours that the business demands.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other team members in providing support and sharing information and knowledge.
- Excellent degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Highest standards of conduct and integrity.
- Ability to code in VBA/Python would be beneficial.
