The Rank Group is looking for a part-time Property Lawyer to join our in-house legal team based out of our headoffice in Maidnehead.

As the Property Counsel, you will be the legal draftsperson, negotiator and advisor to the Rank Group in relation to its property portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Landlord & Tenant matters, such as:
Renewing leases of the existing estate;
Advising on landlord and tenant matters, including sublettings, alterations, rent reviews, service charges, lease renewals, telecoms lettings and wayleaves;
Obtaining landlords' consent for the refurbishment of the bingo and casino estate;
Managing sublettings within the estate;
Serving break notices and options notices;
Assisting in the recovery of rent arrears;
Negotiating car parking agreements.
Disposals disposals of surplus property through sale, assignment, sublet or surrender.
Acquisitions handling new acquisitions and property developments.
Disputes advising on propertyrelated disputes, such as unpaid rent from subtenants, instructing external solicitors where necessary.
Property Litigation Matters advising the business on simpler issues and instructing external solicitors on more complex matters.
Scottish Properties instructing external solicitors on matters relating to the Scottish properties.
International assisting the international business with its property matters, including liaising with external solicitors.

Qualifications

Qualified practising solicitor of 5 plus years' PQE.
Strong private practice training.
Private practice or inhouse experience advising on real estate matters.
Inhouse experience is desirable but not required.
